During a nursing research course at San Francisco State University, I researched the effects of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) on critically ill patients. A poster board is currently posted in the School of Nursing department.

I obtained certification for managing a CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive) event. I also wrote a paper demonstrating how emergencies can be safely managed.

Hepatitis C- Community Health Teaching

During my public health practicum at San Francisco City Impact on Turk Street, I educated community members in the Tenderloin neighborhood about the causes, prevention, and treatment for Hepatitis C. This disease is prevalent among those living in this district, so it is very important to educate the community about reducing disease transmission.
